RAILS & ALES Beer Tasting Train – July 26, 2024
Featuring: Buzzards Bay Brewery, Lucky Goat Brewery, and Naukabout Brewery
- Lucky Goat Brewing — “Karpe Kolsch” — Life is short. On a hot summer day, it’s time to relax with a nice crisp drink. Seize the day! Seize the Kolsch! It’s crisp, clean with a slight citrus burst ABV 5.5%
Pairing: Pretzel Knots – Warm Pretzel Knots accompanied with Beer Cheese and Whole Grain Mustard
- Buzzards Bay Brewing — “Olde Buzzard Pale Ale” — Our original recipe from the very first batch of Buzzards Bay Brewing in the summer of 1998! A blend of malts that creates the perfect foil for these British grown hops, East Kent Goldings. See, back in 1998, nobody grew hops or malts in New England. Now? We can brew all our beers with locally sourced ingredients, and we do, with this exception. Extra Special / Strong Bitter (ESB) style beer ABV 5.6%
Pairing: Lobster Corn Chowder – Delicious House-made Chowder with Fresh Local Lobster
- Naukabout Brewery — “Dunes of the Cape” — Pina Colada Milkshake style IPA ABV 5.5%
Pairing: Pan Seared Scallop – Pan Seared Scallop with Citrus Jelly, Candied Citrus Segments over Basil Puree
- Buzzards Bay Brewing — “Buzzards Bay IPA” — Brewing Hop aromas of Mineola oranges, fresh-cut white flowers, exotic spice, and zesty grapefruit. Malt adds biscuit and soft toffee flavors. ABV 6.3%
Pairing: Crispy Chicken Wing – Crispy Chicken Wing topped with a Strawberry Jalapeno
Barbecue Sauce over a Bed of Arugula
- Naukabout Brewery — “Millie Vanillie” — Milkshake style IPA – Milkshake style IPA crafted with three different types of vanilla. ABV 5.4%
Pairing: Roasted Brat – Roasted Brat over Polenta and topped with Whole Grain Honey Mustard
- Lucky Goat Brewing — “Strawberry Ginger Ale” — Hard Seltzer. Made with strawberries and ginger from a local farm, this balances strawberry flavor (not too sweet) and just enough ginger taste at the end that leaves your mouth refreshed ABV 6.1%
Pairing: Chocolate Stout Cake – Dense Chocolate Cake topped House-made Caramel
